What's the relation between Mobsters United and AcidBay?: AcidBay was a niche social network set up for mobster gamers. It was the birth place of Mobsters United. Mobsters United used to be hosted there, but has moved on to its own site.
I found a bug! What now?: Great that you found it! Not great that it's there, of course. Please report it to us and we'll look into it! If it's serious enough we give out an in-game reward as well. But don't go hunting for bugs on purpose. Checkout out our Zero Tolerance Policy on that!
Where can I request new features?: Mobsters United is actively developed. We are always open to suggestions for new features. Happy to discuss them with you. Just contact us to start the discussion!

Account

A players keeps harassing me, what can I do?: If a player on Mobsters United is harassing you, either ignore, the user, or Terms Of Service and our Zero-Tolerance Policy and make every effort possible to make sure all users are following them. Your account may have been suspended due to a breach in the Terms Of Service (aka TOS). If you felt that your account was terminated for no probable reason, we ask that you contact the site administrator to discuss your case
Why can't I login to my account?: Chances are you either used your email as username or you may have misspelled your password. Please make sure you use your in-game username to login and you do not have your CAPS LOCK on while typing your password. If this fails, you can request a new password by clicking the 'Forgot password' link on the login screen.

Game related

How do I play Mobsters?: You can start our playing Mobsters by reading the guide and asking for help in the Chat. For the rest, you will learn best 'on the job'.
What do I do as a new Mobsters player?: There are different play styles for Mobsters, and the other player can tell you all about that in the chat. In general you want to stand out by buying a Newsstand under the Territory Tab to generate some income. Then you can do missions until you run out of energy, to level your toon. You can start buying your first weapon (e.g. Flick Knife) in the Equipment tap to open up another mission for you.
How do I add Mob members?: Your mob consists of your in-game friends, your hired guns, and any bonuses you have (e.g. active VIP membership). You can befriend toons by going to their profilel page and clicking 'Send friend request'. You can also ask other players in the Mobsters Chat directly to send you request.
How can I send private messages to other players?: There are 2 ways you can send a private message to another user. 1. In the Mobsters United Chat, click on the Magnifying Glass in the top left corner to search for the users correct name. When you click on their name, the chat opens on the right, and you can start typing there immediately! 1. Another option is to go to a toons profile page Within the mobsters game. You can leave a comment on their profile.
Is there a level cap?: No, at this time there is no level cap on toons.

Attacking

Why did I won or lose this fight?: Fighting in a Mobsters game is a combination of a number of factors. You can read more about it in the guide on attacking.
What are the Attack level limits?: If a toon is listed on the Hit List, no level limits apply. Otherwise a toon can attack any other toon that has at least half their level. And a toon can safely attack any toon that has up to double their own level. You can attack toons that have a higher level, but then that higher-level toon gets a 24 hour exception on its level limit and can take revenge on that toon!
What's the difference between Attack, Defense and Damage?: There are two parts to how the outcome of an attack is calculated. The winner and loser are based purely on the attacker's Attack strength and the defender's Defense strength. A toon's strength is calculated by: 1. equiping all a toon's fighting mob and equiping them with the best possible equipment they can grab that is owned by the toon. 1. Checking for critical damage 1. Then any virus effects are added. The damage is calculated using the winner's maximum health. So you can increase the damage you do by increasing your health.
How do I increase my mobster's attack strength?: In order to get a higher attack (or defense) strength, you can: 1. Increase the size of your fighting mob. 1. Get equipment with higher attack/defense scores 1. Select the right Avatar Outfit, as all items your avatar is wearing have double their regular attack and defense, and give you special powers. 1. Upgrade your viruses.
